Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – RFG Advisory, Raymond James, Morgan Lewis

RFG Advisory In the first case, Connecticut-based financial advisors Tom Hine, Jordan Hickey, Kelsey Conklin, and Michael Nicoletti have joined the independent advisor channel in Connecticut. At Commonwealth, the team managed about $411 million in client assets. Operating as Capital Wealth Management, they have offices in Glastonbury, Connecticut, and Wilton, Connecticut. The team members, who advise on planning and wealth management, serve a variety of clients, specializing in families and individuals, retirees and pre-retirees and women investors. The group is supported by marketing coordinator Kelly Gallivan, administrative assistant Laura Hunniford and client services associate Tim Rhouddou. In the second case, advisors Trevor Becker and Peter Kotkas, who managed about $200 million in client assets at Commonwealth, now work at Raymond James. They are co-founders of Noble Investments, based in White Salmon, Washington and Portland, Oregon. Boxer is resident in the Boston and Philadelphia offices.
RFG Advisory, a platform for independent advisors, has appointed senior industry figure Ed Swenson – a co-founder of Dynasty Financial Partners – as president.
Swenson will partner with CEO Shannon Spotswood, chief investment officer Rick Wedell and chief growth officer Abby Salameh to drive RFG’s next phase of growth, it said in a statement this week.
For the past two years, Swenson has served on RFG’s board of directors.
As mentioned, Swenson, who co-founded Dynasty Financial Partners, most recently led RIA Solutions at Osaic, where he developed strategies for the independent advisory channel.
“After more than two decades in this industry, it’s clear to me that the RIA model is where advisors are able to do their best work for clients, and RFG is delivering the most compelling platform in the market today,” Swenson said.
Raymond James
Several teams of advisors who used to work at Commonwealth Financial Network have joined Raymond James.
A number of advisor teams have left Commonwealth for Raymond James in recent weeks. For example, in late September, a group operating in office locations in Lewiston and Bangor, Maine came on board. It includes advisors Gary Bragg, Colby Dionne, Daniel Espenscheid and Michael Nerney, along with registered broker assistants Peggy Kennedy and Melissa Bernard and office administrator Linda Girardin. They previously managed more than $350 million in client assets as part of Commonwealth Financial Network.
Morgan Lewis
John Boxer, a former Morgan Lewis partner who spent the last 11 years as general counsel and chief operating officer of Metropolitan Wealth Management, has come back as a partner in the private client group.

Boxer’s former business, Metropolitan Wealth Management, is a private, multi-family office and subsidiary of Bellevue Capital Partners.
